Wrapping up the past few weeks at Card Crush
It seems like ages since I last wrote to you. Where has the time gone? It seems that we have said goodbye to summer but dare I say it, the weather is being quite kind to us (at the moment). So I thought I could maybe let you know what Card Crush have been up to recently.
I did visit Top Drawer, London this month as I was desperately looking for some notebooks and diaries that would grab my attention. I did come across Go Stationery which has some lovely notebooks but I thought the wire bound diaries may be a little bulky to carry around. The notebooks are really nice though and so over the next few months we will be ordering some shortly. We will have some notebooks and diaries in the next few weeks so if you are looking for something cheerful to brighten up your office then hold on. Keep watching the Facebook page as I like to post our new products on there.
I also caught up with Cinnamon Aitch who have a new range of greeting cards which are so pretty. The Lemon & Lime range are bright and fresh and will be great for occasions through the winter and into the spring.
So many tweets and Facebook posts have mentioned how many sleeps and shopping days til ‘you know when’ and so I have mostly been preparing for our launch of festive products.
As I was sorting some of the festive wrapping paper into packs I thought about packing some of our normal gift wrap into packs to match some of our cards. So shortly you will be able to buy a sheet of wrapping paper and a matching birthday card as a set. At the moment we have Allihopa ‘daisy chain’ and ‘ahoy’ ranges and Molly Mae cupcake wrap & card.
How do you wrap your presents? With clear tape? Ribbon? Do you use a tag? I have to say I didn’t use gift tags a while ago and used to get into a terrible mess at Christmas with people opening the wrong present. It did turn into a Christmas tradition!! I have been thinking about adding tissue paper and ribbon to our range – let me know what you think.
Hubby has bought a new flash for us to use on our cameras, so this weekend we will be trying it out on some lifestyle shots. Today I have been working on a plan of what I need to get pictures of, which includes, Facebook headers, slideshow banners for the website and festive images of some of our products which will appear on Piccadilly Lane. We did get some done a few weeks ago but as the light has been limited a new flash was a must. Quite looking forward to having a go!
