Card Crush Visits Top Drawer London
I love this time of year, Christmas and New Year are over and it’s a chance to look forward to Spring and see what new products are out there in the greetings card industry.
On Sunday 12th January, Top Drawer London, was launched at Earls Court, so I went along to see what is out there. A great atmosphere and so nice to meet up with our current suppliers and to meet some new ones.
Let’s get going ….
With the floor plan in hand and some comfortable trainers, I started to take a look around the stands. I was particularly interested in finding some new suppliers (which I had already identified) and wanted to find some new notebooks for the website. There seems to be some demand for notebooks, especially those that fit into pockets and handbags and I have to say that I was spoiled for choice.
The first business I visited was the pretty Studio Seed stand. It was already quite busy with lots of other ladies taking a look at their lovely range of greetings cards, notebooks and boxed invitations. The new ‘Fashionista’ range particularly caught my eye and so you are likely to see these designs on the website shortly.
It was lovely to stop by and say hello to the fab Love Faith and Hope. Last year Dimitria, designed wedding stationery for my wedding so it was lovely to catch up. The new ‘Kroma’ range is very fresh, with some lovely colours and patterns for Spring.
I had wanted to meet ‘Think of Me’ and it was lovely to finally meet Freya and Dan and to see their full range on display. There are so many gorgeous, colourful products to choose from. I did spot some gorgeous notebooks which I think you will absolutely adore. I will certainly purchase a couple for myself! Irresistible is all I can say.
It was lovely to chat with the talented Cinnamon Aitch about their mens range of greetings cards. The Green Gables showed me some brilliant new products and their wedding notebooks were adorable.
I can’t visit any trade show without visiting Caroline Gardner and I was particularly interested in more of their social stationery range, pens and pencils. Watch this space.
I met with Laura from Laura Darrington Design Ltd who were celebrating their 10th year in business and took away one of their brochures. I also popped to see Stop The Clock Design and collected a brochure which is full of lovely new products.
Great to see Allihopa again, who were show casing 2 new ranges, Milestones and Freckles; both lovely. I think the Milestones will feature here soon too.
Tired but happy feet …..
After a busy day, a bag full of brochures and with some tired feet, I caught the train home for a nice cup of tea and a look through all the brochures. I will keep you up to date with what has been ordered so you don’t miss out.
